What is Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine? Acup uncture Acupuncture is not only one of the most brilliant pearls in the Treasure House of Chinese culture, but also the common wealth of human beings. Acupuncture therapy has a wide range of indications. Some diseases, which are hardly cured by modern medicine, such as migraine headaches, facial paralysis, lower back pain, fibromyalgia, and neuropathy, can be treated effectively with acupuncture and herbs. IN thousands of years of practice, acupuncture plays an inestimable role in the preventing and treating of diseases as well as prolonging a quality life. During a therapy session, the physician will place hair-thin, disposable stainless steel acupuncture needles into points on affected areas, and the corresponding acupuncture points on the arms and legs. The stinulation of the points helps to tonify the Vital Energy, or “Qi,” promotes blood circulation, and removes stagnation of the energy flow, so that you will be free from pain. Therapeutic Chiinese Massage Therapeutic massage has been used since ancient times to promote good health and is the oldes and most popular therapeutic modality. Chinese Massage, or “Tui-Na” has a long history and dates back thousands of years. What are the characteristics of Chinese massage? First of all, it emphasizes the promotion of blood circulation, removal of stagnation, reduction of the inflammation of injured soft tissues, and correcting deformity and the abnormal location of joints and other soft tissues. Secondly, the dynamic waves of the manipulations can reflexively influence the physiological function of the body fluids, energy, blood, cerebrospine, internal organs, and emotional state.
In addition to traditional Chinese Massage or “Tui-Na,” our clinic also offers other modalities, including:
Swedish Massage— long gentle strokes which relax and invigorate the nervous system and promote blood circulation
Deep Tissue Massage—a deeper touch which targets sore and aching muscles and removes blockages. Great for sore shoulders, low back tight muscles, or to help with recuperation after an injury.

Facial Massage—invigorates the circulation in he muscles of the face and skin, to strengthen tone and help the skin achieve a glowing, healthy appearance.

Each internal organ, including the liver, kidneys, spleen and stomach has a reflex point on your feet, and reflexology is believed to have a positive effect on the glands, nerves, organs, and other parts of the body. Although it is most commonly used for prevention rather than the cure of diseases, many claim it helps to relieve a wide variety of conditions including migraines, hypertension, insomnia, sinus problems, chronic pain, digestive problems and more.
